A violent rainstorm struck Nintin, a community within the Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region, on February 18, 2025, causing widespread damage.
The storm, which hit around 3 p.m. after a period of drizzle, ripped roofs off numerous buildings, including the local Presbyterian Basic School.
The neighboring community of Hwidiem was also affected by the storm, which disrupted electricity service, leaving residents and students without power.
Community members are now appealing for assistance to rebuild their homes and infrastructure.
