Staff of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), are expected to visit Ghana next week for the second review of the 3-year, 3 billion-dollar PC-PEG programme.
It is expected to take place from April 2 to April 12, 2024, following the successful completion of the first Review on January 19, 2024.
During the second review, the IMF mission will engage the authorities in technical and policy discussions to enable them to assess Ghana’s performance on programme objectives.
Speaking at the first monthly media briefing in Accra, Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam highlighted some of the objectives and expressed optimism that they would be achieved.
Dr. Amin Adam disclosed that the Ministry will outline measures in the coming month to ensure that the fiscal slippages that usually occur in election years are reversed.
