Inter Milan’s Serie A title defense suffered a setback as they were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at home by mid-table Bologna.

The result prevented Inter from closing the gap to league leaders Napoli to just one point. While they remain three points behind, Inter do have a game in hand over their rivals.

Bologna opened the scoring early, with Santiago Castro finding the net in the 15th minute. However, Inter quickly responded, with Denzel Dumfries equalizing four minutes later.

Lautaro Martinez put Inter ahead just before halftime with a close-range finish, giving the home side the advantage. But Bologna fought back in the second half, and Emil Holm’s deflected shot in the 64th minute restored parity.

Despite late pressure, Inter were unable to find a winner, leaving them to rue missed opportunities and a crucial two points dropped in their title challenge.
