A shocking incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a group of individuals, some in military and police uniforms, raided the home of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta in Cantonments.

The raid took place while Ofori-Atta was reportedly out of the country. Family members, including his wife, were at the residence at the time.

According to sources, the group consisted of about 12 individuals. Among them were five in military uniforms, one in a police uniform, and the others dressed in plain clothes.

The exact purpose of the raid remains unclear, with no official statement from the authorities yet.

It is known that Ofori-Atta has been in the United States since the beginning of 2025 for medical reasons, having informed the Chief of Staff of his absence.

While the raid caused considerable alarm, it is still unknown if anything was taken from the property. Investigations are ongoing, but no further details have been released by the authorities at this time.
