Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency, Hon. Thomas Ampem Nyarko has bemoaned the lack of emergency exit in Ghana’s Parliament amid the unrest in Kenya.
The angry protestors stormed the country’s parliament bringing parliamentary business to a halt protesting against a controversial finance bill proposing new tax hikes.
Hon. Thomas Nyarko who was part of Ghana’s legislators who were in the country’s parliament speaking to the media said after being successfully evacuated from the parliament house said the only thing which were going through his mind was that he being in parliament for eight years doesn’t know the route he will take when such thing occurs in Ghana’s Parliament.
Aside of Thomas Ampem Nyarko who was in Kenya, others are, MP for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro Sylvester Tetteh, Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi, and Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Anita Quartey-Papafio, a clerk from Parliament in charge of Governance Cluster Committees.
Deputy Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale also said, the systematic order in which William Ruto deceived the citizens of Kenya is no different from what Dr. Bawumia is telling Ghanaians now.
