The parliamentary elections held on December 7, 2024, across all 276 constituencies delivered unexpected results, particularly for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Several prominent NPP ministers lost their seats, marking significant setbacks for the party and highlighting its struggles to maintain control in various regions.
At the same time, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) capitalized on the situation, making strong gains in areas traditionally dominated by the NPP.
