President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled a new slate of cabinet nominees aimed at driving key reforms across critical sectors of Ghana’s development.

Haruna Iddrisu, the former Minority Leader in Parliament, has been appointed as the Minister-designate for Education, where he will focus on advancing transformative educational reforms.

Kwame Agbodza, a seasoned politician, is set to lead the Roads and Highways Ministry, where he will oversee the implementation of essential infrastructure projects.

Eric Opoku, a former Minister, will take the helm of the Ministry for Food and Agriculture, with a focus on improving food security and rural development.

The newly established Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment will be led by Opare Addo, the NDC Youth Organiser, who will focus on policies for job creation and innovation to empower young people.

Additionally, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare has been nominated for the Ministry of Trade and Agribusiness, with a mandate to strengthen trade relations and foster agribusiness growth.

Other key appointments include Ahmed Ibrahim for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, and Emelia Arthur for the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture.

These appointments underscore President Mahama’s commitment to driving transformative leadership and development across the country’s critical sectors.
