President-elect John Dramani Mahama has unveiled a five-member team to spearhead the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), a key initiative aimed at combating corruption and reclaiming misappropriated state resources.

The program, a core element of Mahama’s 120-day social contract agenda, focuses on addressing systemic corruption in Ghana’s public sector and ensuring greater accountability.

By recovering funds and assets that were improperly diverted, ORAL seeks to restore public trust, strengthen governance, and create fiscal space for national development.

The team tasked with leading this ambitious program includes:

  1. Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Chairman
  2. Mr. Daniel Domelevo – Former Auditor-General
  3. COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye – Retired Commissioner of Police
  4. Mr. Martin Kpebu – Private Legal Practitioner
  5. Mr. Raymond Archer – Investigative Journalist

The initiative, first highlighted during a September 2024 protest by NDC-affiliated groups, aims to hold the outgoing government accountable for what the demonstrators called “gross financial mismanagement.” The protest, which involved civil society groups, students, and citizens, demanded action on corruption, setting the stage for the launch of ORAL.
