Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has accused his counterpart in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of lying during the media encounter held by the latter on Sunday, August 25 just a day after the NDC launched its manifesto.
In the view of Mr Mahama, Dr Bawumia was exposed during the media encounter because of the ‘sudden stammering posture” he adopted.
Mr Mahama further accused Dr Bawumia and the NPP of using the media encounter to divert the attention of Ghanaians from the NDC manifesto.
Speaking during day one of his 2-day in Ada as part of his Greater Accra Regional campaign on Tuesday, August 27 he said “When you do something with devious intentions, it backfires on you. You know how to tell if people are lying, if there are people who are smooth talkers who can speak like machine guns, the time when they become stammers you know they are lying. Somebody who has been speaking ‘ratatatata’ like AK 47 suddenly, at media encounter, starts stammering.”
John Mahama again urged the NPP government to stay in Ghana when they leave office because he did the same and availed himself for accountability.
