During his official visit to Sierra Leone, President John Dramani Mahama met with members of the Ghanaian community to commend their contributions and address their concerns.
Speaking to the group, Mahama conveyed the appreciation of Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, for the peaceful and hardworking nature of Ghanaians living in the country.
“President Bio has praised you for being peaceful and hardworking, and for living harmoniously with the people here. He asked me to meet with you and extend his appreciation for the excellent work you’re doing,” Mahama shared.
The President also acknowledged the concerns raised by the community regarding permits and taxes. He assured them that he would discuss these issues and explore possible solutions.
“I will bring up the concerns you’ve raised about permits and taxes to see what progress can be made. But well done to all of you,” Mahama added.
