The 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has introduced his running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, to the chiefs of the Central Region.
During the event, Mr Mahama highlighted the qualities and experience that Prof Opoku-Agyemang brings to the NDC ticket.
He emphasised her achievements and integrity, highlighting the role she played during her tenure as the former Minister of Education.
Mr. Mahama praised Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s dedication to public service and her commitment to improving the education sector.
He underscored that her inclusion as running mate would enhance the effectiveness of the office of the vice president if the NDC wins the upcoming elections.
The introduction aimed to garner support from the regional chiefs and demonstrate the strength of the NDC’s leadership team.

John Dramani Mahama again criticised the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Godfred Dame.
Mr Mahama accused Dame of behaving more like a legal representative for the New Patriotic Party rather than fulfilling his duties impartially as Minister of Justice and Attorney-General.
