John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made his stance on LGBTQ+ issues clear, pledging to intensify efforts to combat LGBTQ+ activities if elected in the 2024 elections.
Speaking to clergy members in Accra, Mahama emphasized his commitment to strengthening legislation to curb LGBTQ+ influence and practices in Ghana.

Mahama’s stance has garnered support from some, including traditional leaders and the Christian and Muslim communities, who deem LGBTQ+ practices irreligious and contrary to Ghana’s ethics and standards.
