President John Dramani Mahama has confirmed that the findings from the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee will be handed over to relevant investigative agencies to probe individuals accused of misusing state resources.

Mahama revealed that the committee is expected to present its report next week.

While on his ‘Thank You’ tour in the Central Region on February 6, Mahama reiterated his commitment to fighting corruption, both within his own administration and in previous ones.

He assured the public that his government would prioritize the interests of all Ghanaians, not just the privileged few, and emphasized that accountability is a fundamental aspect of his leadership.

“Next week, the ORAL committee I established will present its report to me. I will then forward it to investigative agencies to begin probing those who have misappropriated the country’s resources,” Mahama stated.

He also reaffirmed his intention to introduce a comprehensive accountability framework and a code of conduct for those in positions of public trust. Mahama stressed that his administration would hold both former and current officials to the same high ethical standards.

“While we investigate those who have recently left office, and continue with Operation Recover All Loot, we will ensure that current officeholders are held to the same standards as those from the previous government,” he added.

Mahama’s comments underscore his commitment to good governance and his pledge to strengthen institutional checks and balances in the ongoing fight against corruption.
