Eric Assibey has been confirmed as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso with unanimous backing from the local assembly, following his nomination by President John Dramani Mahama.
All 22 assembly members present during the confirmation process voted in favour of Assibey, giving him a resounding 100% endorsement.
In his acceptance speech, Assibey expressed deep appreciation for the overwhelming support and called for unity in advancing the municipality’s development agenda.
“I am truly grateful to see such unity today. This level of togetherness shows how far Kwadaso has come. We must acknowledge those who laid the foundation for what we are witnessing,” he said. “With our former MP and traditional leaders here, the sense of unity is truly inspiring.”
Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, the Member of Parliament for Kwadaso, also stressed the importance of working together across political lines for the benefit of the community.
“Politics is part of our daily lives, and though we may hold different views, our ultimate goal must be the progress of Kwadaso. The NDC is in power now, and we wish them well. What matters most is unity in driving development,” he said.
The unanimous approval signals strong support for Assibey’s leadership and reflects a shared desire for inclusive growth in the municipality.
