A gunman opened fire in the southern Montenegrin town of Cetinje, killing 12 people, including two children, before turning the gun on himself.

The shooting spree began at a restaurant following a verbal altercation between guests. The gunman, identified as Aleksandar Martinović, 45, subsequently killed several others at different locations.  

Four individuals were injured in the attack and are currently receiving medical treatment.  

The government has declared three days of national mourning, with Prime Minister Milojko Spajic expressing deep sorrow and condolences to the affected families.  

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack, while the government has announced plans to review gun control measures.

This tragic event has shocked the nation and highlighted the need for increased focus on mental health and measures to prevent such acts of violence.
