The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has held a stakeholder forum in Accra to gather input on the Draft NPA Bill, as part of efforts to finalize the proposed legislation governing Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.

The forum, held on Monday, August 25, brought together key industry players to review and provide feedback on the bill, which aims to strengthen regulatory oversight, improve operational efficiency, and enhance transparency and accountability within the sector.

Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, the event was chaired by the sector Minister, John Abdulai Jinapor. He was joined by Deputy Minister Richard Gyan-Mensah and other officials from the Ministry.

Participants were invited to share their perspectives to help refine the bill before it is submitted to Parliament for consideration.

The NPA stressed that the forum underscores its commitment to inclusive policymaking, ensuring that the voices of industry stakeholders are reflected in the final legislation.
