The latest National Tracking Poll by Global InfoAnalytics has revealed that the Ghana Police Service and the Immigration Service are viewed as the most corrupt institutions in the country.
The poll, which gauged public perception of corruption across various sectors, placed the Police at the top with a score of 6.43, closely followed by the Immigration Service with a score of 5.86.
Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, shared the findings during an interview on Wednesday, April 2.
The Judiciary ranked third with a score of 5.78, highlighting concerns over corruption within the legal system.
Other institutions with notable corruption perceptions include the Ghana Revenue Authority’s tax officials (5.68), local government representatives (5.63), and business executives (5.63).
Moderate corruption perceptions were reported for the Electoral Commission (5.58), traditional leaders (5.51), and Parliament (5.47). The Prison Service (5.43), Military (5.27), and the Presidency (5.27) also raised concerns, though they scored lower.
Ministers and government officials received the lowest score of 4.61, indicating relatively less public concern about corruption in these areas compared to other institutions.
