Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will travel abroad for further medical treatment after receiving urgent care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
A statement from the Presidency revealed that the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28th, and received treatment at UGMC on Saturday.
Medical professionals have recommended additional specialized care overseas to ensure her complete recovery.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, issued the statement, assuring the public that the Vice President’s condition is being handled with expert medical attention.
