Association of Contractors have challenged the government to disclose the names of contractors it claims to have paid GH¢49 billion.
During a press briefing on Friday, May 24, the Minister of Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, announced that the government had expended some GH¢49 billion to road contractors.
However, the association disputes this claim, asserting that the government owes them around GH¢15 billion.
They expressed scepticism over the government’s claim, highlighting a significant discrepancy between the reported payments and the amount they are owed.
Chairman of the Association of Contractors, John Afful speaking to the media questioned the actual beneficiaries of the GH¢49 billion.
According to him, they’re in pain and some of their members are even dead hence if they’ve indeed paid them, they (government) should show them where it is so they can go for the
