The Ashanti Regional Department of Urban Roads has announced a temporary closure of a key ramp on the Sofoline Interchange to allow for essential repair works.

The affected section, which connects the Sofoline Terminal to the Santasi Roundabout and Patasi, will be closed to traffic from Wednesday, September 3, to Friday, September 19, 2025.

According to the Department, the closure is necessary to facilitate repairs on the expansion joint of the approach slab—a critical component of the interchange’s structure.

Motorists traveling toward Patasi, the Santasi Roundabout, and surrounding areas are advised to use alternative routes and follow all directional signs posted at the site.

The Department has urged all road users to adhere strictly to traffic management measures put in place during the repair period, to ensure safety and minimize congestion.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused,” the Department said in a statement signed by Surv. Na-em Iddrisu, Regional Director of Urban Roads.
