A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Dambai, Oti Region, on suspicion of murdering his own mother.
The incident occurred in Yabram, a suburb of Dambai, where the suspect allegedly struck his 60-year-old mother, Madam Salomey Ama Serwaa, on the head with a pestle, resulting in her death.
Prior to this tragic event, the suspect had a history of violent behavior, including threats against his mother and a previous incident where he threatened a neighbor with a cutlass.
The Dambai Police Command is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
