Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has been appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), effective Thursday, February 1, 2024. This is part of changes in the military hierarchy made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
