Three people lost their lives on Friday morning when a bus traveling from Takoradi to Accra overturned near the Aggrey Memorial School in Cape Coast.
The accident, which occurred around 6:48 am, involved a bus with registration number GW 6231-21, carrying approximately 53 passengers.
Twenty-three passengers sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. Nine others were treated and discharged.
Emergency responders, including personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, police, and ambulance services, worked together to rescue passengers trapped in the overturned vehicle.
Sadly, three passengers succumbed to their injuries at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
