Around 15 members of the Saviour Church of Ghana are feared dead following a devastating accident on the Atwedie stretch of the Kumasi-Accra highway.
The tragic incident, which occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28, involved a head-on collision between a vehicle transporting the church members and a fuel tanker traveling in the opposite direction.
Preliminary reports indicate that the victims were returning to Obogu in the Asante Akyem South Municipality after attending their church’s annual meeting in the Eastern Region.
The impact of the collision resulted in multiple fatalities at the scene. Emergency services, including police and fire officers, are currently on site managing the situation and transporting the bodies to a nearby morgue.
