The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a stern warning to passport applicants who made payments before April 1, 2024, but have not yet completed their biometric capture.
These individuals must visit their designated Passport Application Centers (PACs) and finalize the process by October 18, 2024.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in the automatic invalidation of their passport applications.
This urgent call comes in light of the recent fee revision, which took effect on April 1, 2024. Under the new regulations, passport applications submitted under the previous fees of GHC100 and GHC150 will no longer be valid.
The revised fees are as follows:
- 32-page passport: GHC500
- 48-page passport: GHC644
- Expedited service: GHC800
To avoid any delays or inconveniences, applicants are strongly urged to prioritize completing their biometric capture before the October 18 deadline.
