West Ham United have appointed Graham Potter as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Potter replaces Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked on Wednesday following a disappointing run of results.
The 49-year-old manager, who was most recently in charge of Chelsea, is tasked with guiding West Ham up the Premier League table. The club currently sits 14th, just seven points above the relegation zone.
“I am delighted to be here,” Potter said in a statement. “It was important to me that I waited until a job came along that I felt was right for me, and equally that I was the right fit for the club I am joining.”
Potter will be looking to implement his footballing philosophy and guide West Ham towards a more successful period.
