Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that the NPP will establish a dedicated bank to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) if Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wins the presidency on December 7.
Speaking to garage leaders at Suame Magazine in Kumasi, Dr. Prempeh explained that the proposed SME bank would provide much-needed loans to small businesses, enabling them to grow and become more profitable. He stressed that Dr. Bawumia understands the critical role SMEs play in driving Ghana’s economic development.
Dr. Prempeh, who is actively campaigning in the Ashanti Region, also revealed that the NPP government would create a special fund to empower women entrepreneurs, strengthening their businesses and contributing to overall economic progress.
He urged SME owners and women across the country to vote for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP’s parliamentary candidates, assuring them that the party has the experience and resources to manage Ghana’s economy effectively.
In his address, Napo highlighted the success of the NPP’s Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, noting that it has contributed to a decline in teenage pregnancies.
Wrapping up his speech, Dr. Prempeh reiterated that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership would bring prosperity to the nation, calling on voters to support the NPP in the upcoming election.
