The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, together with the Police Management Board (POMAB), on Monday, April 14, 2025, received the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Major General William Agyapong, at the National Police Headquarters.
This visit marked Major General Agyapong’s first official engagement at the headquarters since assuming his role as CDS. As part of the visit, a ceremonial Guard of Honour was held in his honour.
In a meeting following the parade, both leaders reaffirmed their joint commitment to deepening inter-agency cooperation to address pressing national security concerns.
High on the agenda was the ongoing conflict in Bawku, with both the police and military pledging continued efforts toward restoring peace and stability in the area.
